It should take less than an hour to get from Onalaska to our dealership in Cleveland. Start by heading east on Highway 190 E toward FM 3459. Then turn right ontoUS-59 Loop S and then onto US-59 S. From here, take the exit toward TX-105BUS/Conroe and merge onto the U.S. 59 N Bypass. Make a couple of rights, and our dealership will be on the left. You will pass a Popeyes and a Burger King on your way, so be sure to stop in and get a bite to eat before you head down to Martin CDJR!
The city of Onalaska is located on the peninsula between the main channel and the arm of Lake Livingston. The city was first settled in 1840 and was primarily known as a farming area until 1904 with the Carlisle Lumber Company sawmill, the largest in Texas. The name of the city is teh from the “Pleasures of Hope” by Thomas Campbell, and when the sawmill was brought to the area in 1904 by William Carlisle, he was the one who named the town. Shortly after the arrival of the sawmill, Onalaska started booming with two hotels, a large park, a hospital, and a thriving downtown area, which has continued to this day!
